This is a review for the Lush Brazen Honey Fresh Face Mask!
I got a sample of this when I was in London!
What it's supposed to do:
Refreshing herbs and fruit juice are blended with warming Ayurvedic herbs and spices. With almonds to polish and moisturising honey, this blend leaves the skin vibrant and re-visited.
Price: 6.45 GBP ($10) for 75 g (in London), 1650 yen ($18.50) for 50 g in Japan

Scent: (I strongly suggest you smell this in the store before buying it since scent is a personal preference and Lush products tend to smell very strongly)
This products smells like honey and herbs. I liked it, but I can understand why people wouldn't!
Pros:
- The almond bits left my skin feeling EXTREMELY smooth!
- The sample was VERY generous! I used it almost 10 times!
- It's a little bit hard to apply to my face, but it's fine when I added a bit of water!
- more than twice as expensive in Japan as in London (about 14 cents/g in London vs 38 cents/g in Japan... wow, with the current exchange rate, it's almost 3 times more expensive in Japan!!!!!)
- Like all Lush Fresh Face Masks, this needs to be used up within 3 weeks or it will go bad
- Like all Lush Fresh Face Masks, this is not sold on the Lush USA website due to the expiration date
That really summed up how I feel about this product! I loved it, I loved how it smelled, I loved how it made my skin feel, but I would not buy it in Japan because it is just so much more expensive here. I'm not willing to spend $20 on an exfoliator when I can get something almost as good for half the price!
I blogged about this before, but I wish that Lush sold their Fresh Face Masks in smaller containers. The 75g packages that I found in London were too big for me to use up in 3 weeks (I did kind of find a way around this which I will blog about soon!). Seriously, this sample size was exactly right for me to use up in 3 weeks!
I'll leave you with a scary pic of me!

What is your favorite exfoliator?
xoxo, K

hahaha oh i think you look pretty good there ;)
ReplyDeletehmmm.. my fav exfoliator.. i like the sample size of the cosmedicine one.. i bought the mac volcanic ash one but haven't gotten around to using it yet since i haven't finished the cosmedicine one.
That's not a scary pic! LOL! But thanks for letting us know about the size & expiration dates!

ReplyDeleteHahaha go see my videos! I'm so overweight I got a "you need to lose weight" notice in my annual health check!
wow.. sounds like a great product from Lush. too bad i have to order it online... My fav exfoliator currently is the face shop soft peeling gommage with pearl powder :)
ReplyDeleteEvery time I use Lush products, I think of you!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review!
ooh thanks for the review!..=) i love using St Ives apricot scrub~ <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I have always been alfraid of the lush products smells x_x
ReplyDeleteLush just dropped the price on their masks by $2 (in Hawaii, maybe elsewhere), that was a nice surprise when I went to pick up my brazen honey. The SA said it was to make the product more accessible. Even tho the expiration date is 3 weeks, I think you could use it after as long as it still smelled good. And it smells sooooo good!
ReplyDeletegreat review! lol and u dont look scary at all! i tried using lush but ended up having a bad reaction to it...so i try to stay away from that brand now...
ReplyDeleteThis looks really nice! I haven't tried this mask yet but it's definitely on my list now. And... I don't actually really use exfoliators anymore. I just use cleansing grains nightly, but they're not that scrubby.
ReplyDeleteThis mask sounds wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "honey". :) And no that is not a scary pic of you. My current fave exfoliator is Alba's pineapple enzyme facial scrub.
