Final Haul in the UK

We're finally at the end of my posts about my trip to the UK. Wow, I've been posting about this trip for nearly a month!  This is my last haul, I promise!!

Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom

This is a MUCH hyped product in the UK blogger world, where it is considered a dupe for the Chanel Particuliere nail polish.  I picked up two of these, one to give as a gift.  It is really a wonderful, work-appropriate color and I'm really glad I got it!

Topshop Nail Polish in Gypsy Night
Topshop recently came out with a line of beauty products.  Although the picture makes it look like this is a black polish with silver glitter, it actually has a multi-colored shimmer.  I also got two of these and sent one to Sarah for her birthday.  She calls the polish "OMGWTF"!

Collection 2000 Hot Looks nail polishes

Gosh Darling Lipstick
Another hyped product.  It was SUPER hard to find this!

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Smooth Resurfacing Primer
During our meetup, Jess enabled me to buy this.

Yinnie enabled me to buy this:
Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Facial Peel
And Jamilla enabled me to buy this:
MUA nail polishes (only 1 GBP each!)

Shopping with beauty bloggers is dangerous!!

I also got these Home Fragrance Oils from the Body Shop

Whew, thanks for tagging along through my month of shopping and sightseeing!  Back to regular blogging now!!

Review: Stila Lip and Cheek Stain in Pomegranate Crush

This is a review of the Stila Lip and Cheek Stain in Pomegranate Crush.  I received this as part of a birthday present.

Pomegranate Crush is on the right hand side.  The left hand product is Mango Crush, a coral color.

What it does:
This revolutionary makeup stain reacts to the pH levels in cheeks and lips to create a personalized blush and pout. The nourishing formula contains potent antioxidants, vitamins A, C, and E to moisturize, and fruit extracts to slow the degeneration of collagen—thus supporting the skin's natural structure and slowing premature aging. Packaged in Stila's iconic clickable pen, the revolutionary sheer formula is easy to build and blend, plus it leaves your lips and cheeks with a fresh flush of youth.
(from Sephora.com)

Price: $24 / 0.08 oz
Swatched, it looks like a very bright plum shade.

Blending...

Fully blended, it is a pretty wash of color.

Pros:
- Provides a good wash of color.  If you are using it on your cheeks, you can leave it like this, or top it with a blush.
- The gel formula gave me more time to blend it and was more forgiving than Benefit's Benetint

Cons:
- I felt it was drying on my lips.
- This product comes out of the brush when you twist the other end, similar to the Stila lipglosses.  However, I could not tell how much product was left in the tube since the tube is opaque.
- I felt there was very little product.  I used this up in less than a month.
- The product dispenses from the side of the brush, which is a bit awkward.

It was uncomfortable to me to use the brush to apply the product, so I would apply it first to my fingers and then use my fingers to apply it to my face.

Would I repurchase: Not sure.  I loved the product and didn't like the packaging.

That really sums up how I felt about this!  I really liked the formula and the color, including Mango Crush.  The reason I didn't review them both together was because I used up Mango Crush before I got to take swatch pictures.  I expected this to last a lot longer than it did.

Hope that helped!

PS: I've moved to China!  I'll be posting scheduled posts for a while!

Manchester

I have only a few pictures of my trip to Manchester since I was working there (and trying to catch up on the work I hadn't done while I was in London).

Manchester was VERY cold.  When I left Kobe, it was still around 33 deg C (91 deg F).  London was around 18 deg C (64 deg F), but sunny and warm.  Manchester was a chilly 13 deg C (55 deg F).  A big change for me!

Town Hall is a Grade 1 Listed Building.
This means it is considered be of "exceptional (architectural, historical, or cultural) interest."

And of course, what is a trip to Manchester without a trip to Manchester United's home grounds.
Manchester was really a football (soccer) oriented town.  All the bars had TVs and advertised that they played all the games!

I also got to meet up with Rowena of Cosmetic Candy!
It was so much fun to chat with her!

I picked up this No7 Matte top coat.

She was super sweet and surprised me with a gift!

My Face Cosmetics eyeshadow trio in Solar Sisters

My Face Cosmetics foundation

The Body Shop mascara

The Body Shop concealer

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Lip Color in Maximum Mocha

 The Body Shop eyeliner

Mememe Lash Attack Mascara

Thank you so much, Rowena!

Next up, the start of my crazy hauls!

xoxo, K
