Price: will vary depending on where you buy it. Walgreens.com has it at $6.50
The color reminds me of wasabi. Thankfully, it doesn't smell like it, or I wouldn't put it on my face!
Scent: A fresh scent. It reminds me of floral scents without the sweetness, or a mix of green leaves and fresh streams. The Body Shop's green tea scent smells very similar, so this may be what westerners consider to be a green tea scent? It doesn't remind me of green tea, but I really like it.
Pros:
- contains very fine particles to scrub your skin. Not harsh.
- this product contains 4.5 fl oz, or 133 ml. It is quite large.
- contains green tea and olive oil, both known anti-oxidants.
- my skin felt softer after using this product for a week.
- this can be used as a cleanser. I was able to make it foam up with a face wash net.
(Without a face wash net, I could not get this to lather. It is not as easy to lather as normal cleansers)
Cons:
- the particles are made of silica, and will not dissolve. Take care not to over exfoliate.
Would I repurchase? Yes, I really liked this product.
This was a great everyday scrub. It exfoliated my face well, but was not harsh. I also liked it as a daily cleanser! St. Ives also has a Green Tea Cleanser, which I would love to try!
Brittany at Clumps of Mascara reviewed this product a few days ago as well. Do visit her blog if you haven't already - I love strong women who love beauty and fashion!
I really liked the scent of this product. I wish there was a perfume like this! I've tried several green tea perfumes, but nothing hits the spot. Please let me know if you have a recommendation, or if you know of a perfume which smells like this product!
Hope you enjoyed my review!

I have the apricot one. Love it! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteYou are correct in your olfactory observations my dear. This is indeed the western idea of a green tea scent! The most realistic green tea smell I have encountered in a beauty product is the Cow Brand Shizengokochi soap. It is wonderful!
Great minds think alike! I reviewed this too a few days ago and loooove the scrub.
ReplyDeleteooh this looks good! i love their green tea face wash but have not tried this before..too bad their st ives green tea series is not sold here...hope to get this soon! *p.s ever since i saw your review on the wash net i have been using it!love it ^_^
ReplyDeleteI tried the apricot one a few years ago. This is gentler than that one!
ReplyDeleteShizengokochi? Sounds like a Japanese product! Green tea should really smell bitter! I guess we are a little picky about our green tea scents!!
ReplyDeleteI do love this scent, though!
Thank you so much for commenting! I love your blog, and your hair posts are fabulous! I'm learning so much about locing!!
ReplyDeleteWow, thank you! The face wash net is really a great product! I agree - I wish this product were sold in Asia!
ReplyDeleteNice review. I have this too but it makes my skin feel a wee bit tight. I can't believe it was able to create such foam! Dang...I really want a face wash net now >.<
ReplyDeletewow I'm impressed with how much foam you created with the net!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so glad you like this scrub too! I reviewed it a while back and even though I'm currently testing other scrubs, I keep wanting to go back to this one. LOVE it. :)
ReplyDeleteI ♥ the green tea cleanser and the scrub! I'm trying not to waste the bar of facial soap that I've been using, but I can't wait to use it up so I can switch back to the cleanser. and WOW, I totally need to try using my little facial sponge to make the scrub foamy like that!
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I think that you need to come back to Hawaii soon so that you can stock up on more products.
ReplyDeleteyou might wanna try loccitane's green tea, smells so good and i love st ives green tea as well!
ReplyDeletei really want to try something that i can gently exfoliate everyday. this one seems pretty good. thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteFace wash nets have changed the way I wash my face. The added bonus is that they are available at Daiso for 100 yen!

ReplyDeletehi,
ReplyDeletejust bought this, used it first time and it has made such a difference!! my skin feels softer, esp on my nose where there were tiny blackheads which refused to come off! i LOVE it, and I'm gonna stock up on this! I have also bought the cleanser, but not used it still cuz i'm using something else and waiting for it to finish.
:[ Am I the only one that is having a bad experience with it? I was using Neutrogena products before I decided to buy this product (after my neutrogena was gone of course). Redness started to appear around my cheeks and I actually started to break out for once. Sounds stupid, but I'm still using it to see if it's the weather that's causing my break outs or the scrub and cleanser. As for now, I'm still breaking out, the redness on my skin hasn't gone away, and I'm currently very sad. :[
