Blended
What it does: This triple-function BB cream provides UV protection and deep moisturization to skin with aloe and mushroom extracts, while arbutin and adenosine make skin clear and resilient.
(from Skinfood's website)
Price: 12,900 Won (about $12 US) in Korea. Prices will vary online.
Pros:
- this was a great color match for my skin
- sheer to medium coverage
- dewy finish, good for drier skins
- contains SPF. However SPF20 PA+ is not enough for daily use. Be sure to wear a sunscreen underneath!
Cons:
- I still needed concealer for my undereye circles
- This product took a long time to set. I would put on this BB cream, then do my entire eye makeup including mascara and eyebrows, before doing any powder or blush.
- I still needed powder to set this product.
Would I repurchase? No. This was not matte enough for my oily-combination skin. I would recommend this for people with drier skin.
Skinfood has recently come out with several BB creams, but the Mushroom BB cream is one of the originals. This is a great product to pick up if you can get it at a reasonable price. I've seen this online for $30, but I wouldn't spend that much on it!
Hope you enjoyed this review!

Thanks for the review! I probably won't like this one either since I have oily skin as well. And for $30...I think I will pass. ^^
ReplyDeleteI thought that this BB cream was ok. Not great but ok. It was too sheer for me so I used it as a makeup base. Yes, it did take a long time for it to set!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I've been curious about this bb cream but I wasn't so sure how I felt about a makeup product that had mushrooms in it. I have dry skin so this may work pretty well for me.
ReplyDeletethanks for the review! i got a sample of this but never tried it out.

If you have a sample, go for it!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what kind of mushrooms it has, and I'm not sure what the benefit of the mushrooms are!! But I do suggest you try out this BB cream if you get the chance.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was a little too sheer for me to use without concealer. I liked the Skinfood Aloe BB creams more than this one, since I could use that one without powder or concealer. Like I wrote in the post, Skinfood has been coming out with a lot of types of BB creams lately, so I hope I get the chance to try out some more!
ReplyDeleteActually, i think it's just really sheer! Skinfood Aloe BB cream works better for me (and is cheaper) so I'll post a review of that soon!
ReplyDeleteI have friends who swore by this and I've got friends who broke out because of this! I didn't know it is sheer though! I've always have this impression that it has a good coverage :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, you do need a powder to set this thing. I use it mostly in the winter when I'm pale enough for it, and it gives me this awesome flawless look. Yes my skin is naturally like this....:P
ReplyDeleteoh yeah! i do remember this one being kind of oily.
ReplyDeleteI guess it's good enough coverage for many people. I have a lot of sun damage, though, so it's not enough for me!
ReplyDeleteAwwww I'm envious, hahaha. I have so much sun damage!
ReplyDeleteMonaaaaa I miss you!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I have the same skin like you, oily/combination..What BB creams of foundation do you recommend for this skin type?
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice but if it's a great color match for you, prob too light for me (especially now that I have color from the summer sun). I really found your review very useful though! =)
