Smitten is a limited edition hand cream that Lush has released every winter.

What it does: (from Lush UK website)
Protective, almond scented hand cream. Lush customers asked persistently for Smitten to be put into Retro and we delivered. It's a lighter hand cream with the same delicious fragrance as our Snowcake soap. Smitten is made with natural oils, calming chamomile and beeswax to protect the hands from extreme weather or nourish them when they need it most. Use it regularly for soft mitts
Price: $18.95/3.5oz, or 7 GBP/100g (around $11). This product is more than 50% more expensive in the US!
Scent: like almonds. The Lush Snow cake soap smells similar.
Pros:
- Very moisturizing hand cream, but does not leave my hands greasy
- The scent does not linger on my hands. I don't like my hands to smell strongly because it bothers me when I do makeup or eat.
- I don't like the packaging. The pump on the bottle dispenses only a very small amount at one time.
- I also think creams in pots are unhygienic.
Would I repurchase? Maybe. This was really a great moisturizing cream. I would repurchase it if it came in a tube!

Oh wow, I didn't know Smitten was discontinued, I remember when it used to be permanent. I think the Snow Cake soap smells a lot better though, so I don't think I'd be tempted to purchase this again. Interesting how yours was in a pump dispenser!
ReplyDeleteI've only started getting into Lush, but I would love to try this. I would prefer the pot container over the pump dispenser pictured however - that pump dispenser I imagine would be rather tedious to try to get product out.

What container does yours come in? I like the pump but it really dispenses only a teeeeny bit at a time!
ReplyDeleteI just don't like pots in general... A pot like this will take me about a month to use up, and I keep thinking it's not hygienic...
