What it does: (from MACcosmetics.com)
An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up!
Price: $20/100ml
Uses: Contrary to popular belief, this product is not intended to help makeup last longer. It can be sprayed onto skin after makeup to make it look less powdery. I also spray it onto my foundation brush so that it absorbs less foundation.
Pros:
- The cap can be locked so that it does not accidentally spray.
- This product sprays out in a very fine mist.
- I think $20 is very expensive for a product which just settles makeup.
- I loved the spray bottle, but it cannot be refilled! *EDIT: it CAN be refilled!
Notes: remember that you can Back to MAC this container!
Would I repurchase?: No. I can easily substitute distilled water for this product. I do really like the container!
Hope you enjoyed this review!

I have never used a product like this.... not sure that I'm missing out on anything.

The bottle is quite expensive if it can be substitute for distilled water.
ReplyDeleteIf you pull the top cap hard enough does it come off?
Thanks for the review!! I've heard so much hype about this spray.. Meh!
ReplyDeletethanks for the review! good to know I don't need this; makes you wonder about all the hype!
ReplyDeleteI really love this and has been using this for clients!!! :) But for myself, I don't know why but I do not use it much! :)
ReplyDeleteyeah, heard of this product but indeed its not really necessary and price is just too much! thanks for review..=)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review! I should really consider a makeup fixative here in Muscat, due to humidity!
ReplyDeleteHave had a passing interest in this product but will now definitely skip it. Definitely not worth the money for what it does.
ReplyDeleteThe top of the bottle can be taken off by simply twisting it counterclockwise :)
ReplyDeleteActually this is a good point. I always thought this was a fixative but never noticed that it helped particularly to fix anything so stopped bothering using it. It is great for wetting the foundation brush before use though, but that is, like you said quite easily replacable with some distilled water, which is a hell of a lot cheaper!
ReplyDeleteWanna great dupe for Fix+?! Hehe.. I use the pink bottle of HADASUI water! I swear it's the exact same thing, & only abt $10USD for a lil over 14oz! I just reused my Fix+ & MAC Charged water spritzer for the container since the spray comes out nice & fine. But I also put some in a travel sprayer for my purse!
ReplyDeleteI think that can make the makeup have a quick and nice finish after application and also give a seal to it.Nice product which I did not know about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting!!
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it, I completely agree that Hadasui is a dupe! Thanks for mentioning that!
ReplyDelete"Fix" is a misleading name, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I couldn't get it open for the longest time! It even came apart!! But I tried again and it did open. The blog post is edited now!
ReplyDeleteGlad that my review was helpful!
ReplyDeleteI heard Urban Decay's fixative is good!
ReplyDeleteGlad to know my review was helpful for you!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why you don't use it on yourself? How interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt smells good - maybe that's why?
ReplyDeleteThe top can be twisted off. I've edited the post now!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed "hype"!
