I always enjoyed using the original Rimmel Fix & Perfect Primer, but did not like the orange color of the product. A few of my blogger friends said that it changed the color of their foundation. Looks like Rimmel also thought that orange was not a good color for a foundation primer, because this product is white!
What it does: (from Rimmel's website)
Unique advanced formula with 5 in 1 results:
Smoothes to minimize pores, resurfaces for an even complexion, brightens skin all day, protects skin from environmental aggressors and mattifies and eliminates shine.
Create your smoothest, most even, poreless complexion!
Foundation glides on more smoothly, more evenly and wears longer.
Price: like all US drugstore products, the price will vary. Ulta has this for $7.49. The Ulta price is 10 cents lower for the "Pro" version than the original version. I would say that the price is the same, and "pro" is just a name that they gave the product to make it sound like an upgrade.
- Like the original, this product really helped my foundation stay on longer
- Very lightweight. This was much lighter feeling on my skin than silicone-based primers.
- No tint on my face! That's right, it also doesn't leave a white residue on my skin!
- If you want to hide pores, a silicone-based primer is better than this.
Here is how I took pictures in my apartment in China. The room with the best lighting was the bathroom, and I had a huge counter. I would pose the product I was taking a picture of in front of the other products I was using in the bathroom. I only had overhead lighting, though, so it was always a struggle for me to minimize shadows and reflections.
